A Caribbean-style, open-air restaurant located in the heart of Simpson Bay. The owners and staff are always friendly and treat you like long-lost friends from the moment you walk in. A true family place from the recipes to the unique cocktails and friendly staff.
The portions are large and come at great prices. The menu is mouthwatering and diverse; the Drunken Ribs fall off the bone, the homemade buns for the Sirloin Cheeseburger and the famous carrot cake or one-of-a-kind flavored cheesecake (based on availability or who’s turn it was to bake desert; Greg or Joelle).
The Palms is a must-try restaurant when visiting (We Are SXM), and one visit will never be enough.
Greg &Joelle are the proud owners of The Palms. Head chef Greg’s family is from Trinidad, and many of the dishes originate from Mom’s island recipes. Lots of the dishes are cooked the Caribbean way on a BBQ and prepared with authentic spices from the islands. While Greg often delivers the food right to your table Jo serves up delicious cocktails, local beers, or wines… and they do this always with a smile.
Both Greg and Jo are Canadian, so you know you will always be heartily welcomed. If you are looking for a laid-back ambiance, excellent service, but most importantly, delicious home-cooked meals, find it at The Palms restaurant in the heart of Simpson Bay. As part of loud and obnoxious group would love to tell we all had great time as always the food and staff always wonderful
Every time we come to the island we must go to the Palms, it’s our favorite place. They have been serving the best comfort Caribbean food for many years. Joelle and Greg, the owners, are always near to ensure the best experience to their customers. They have the BEST cocktails on the island, original recipes and homemade ingredients. On top of everything, their staff are nice and friendly and the atmosphere is exactly what you are looking for when you visit the island. Thank you again and see you soon xx
This was by far the best place we ate at on vacation. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, the staff and atmosphere are top notch! We had Romaine as our server, He was fantastic! We also met the owners, very lovely people. I’ll be searching high and low for the lemon blueberry cheesecake we had. 10/10 experience!!
Food is amazing! We had the curry shrimp and curry chicken both with roti. Absolutely delicious!! Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere was happy and comfortable. Great evening. Highly recommend!!
This place was delicious AND FUN- we really enjoyed a fresh meal- had cauliflower bites, veggie curry, spicy lasagna, spring rolls- but also- the DJ had the crowd dancing- the whole place- it was a great night
