Kayak Lagoon Tour

Paddle across the largest saltwater lagoon in the Antilles and glide past the mega-yachts that make St. Maarten their winter base.

Your tour begins at Kim Sha Beach in Simpson Bay with a kayaking lesson and safety orientation before you set off on a sit-on-top kayak. Follow your guide at a leisurely pace across the lagoon and admire the magnificent mega-yachts moored here from November to April. Along the way your guide points out the imaginary water border between the Dutch and French sides. Climb Fort Louis for panoramic views, then continue along the mostly flat Bellevue road and through Marigot's bustling waterfront market. Follow the route around the lagoon to Baie Rouge, where your guide points out geological wonders like Devil's Hole and Point Bluff, and ride on through Terres Basses, Mullet Bay and Maho Beach — where planes pass just overhead. Enjoy a cold drink before heading back. Done on an e-bike, so switch on the assistance whenever your legs get tired.

After a brief intro to cycling in St. Maarten and your Hardtail Cube Acid e-bike, follow the Philipsburg Boardwalk along Great Bay's white-sand beach, pass Divi Little Bay and climb Cay Hill for a stunning view of the Simpson Bay Lagoon. Descend into Cole Bay, cross the Causeway and stop at the Border Monument, where your guide explains the 1600s Concordia Treaty. Continue to Marigot to explore the local market and enjoy a cold beverage, then walk to the historic Fort Louis. On the return you can finish in Simpson Bay or ride back over the hill to Philipsburg. Around the Island Tour (E-Bike)

The full 30 km / 18 mi loop — Philipsburg to Le Galion and Orient Bay, then back through the French Quarter.

Starting in Philipsburg, your pedalling crosses you from the Dutch side to the French side of the island, soon arriving at the beautiful Le Galion Beach with views of nearby islands. Continue to Orient Bay — the island's most famous beach, known as "the pearl of the Caribbean" — where there's time for a refreshing drink and a dip in the ocean. You then return to Philipsburg via the French Quarter in the middle of the island, for a total of 30 km / 18 miles. The terrain is hilly in sections, but that's no problem on an e-bike: turn on the electronic assistance whenever your legs get tired.

We loved the tour and Alexandra, our tour guide. It is not too difficult. We were not quite in good shape and still were able to do the whole tour and enjoy it. This one was the first of many hikes to come.

Bought some sports clothes and rented a mountain bike during the weekend which I combined with a sunday bike race. The staff in the store was friendly and helped me choosing the right clothing, the bike was ready for me and all pre-set based on your hight.
Also the race was well organized and an very fun and challenging run set up in the gorgeous mountain bike area bellevue! Overall a super experience with Tri-Sport, thank you guys and see you soon again!
