For We Are SXM, we have stayed in resorts such as La Samana, Holland House, Temps de Cerises, La Villa Hibiscus Resort, the Morgan, and now also L’esplanade. One of the owners, Kristin, was joking around, saying, “You saved the best for last”, but after experiencing this excellent hotel, I have to admit she was right.
This resort is a beautiful place to stay, calming, organized, and with so much attention to detail. I have not seen a resort with so much handwork, from the hand-laid Mozaic tiles to all the woodwork, the garden, and the decoration; everything is of great quality and a form of art.
On top of this, Marc and Kristin do a great job of making guests feel welcome and keeping it personal, which is highlighted by their weekly cocktail hour in which all guests are invited to the bar for complimentary drinks and snacks. This is the first time I ever experienced a resort doing this, and I think it is very cool 😎🏝️ It makes everyone feel welcome.
The resort has all the facilities, with complimentary yoga on the platform, a pool with lush greenery and very comfortable loungers, and a pool bar with a small but good food selection. You can pre-order breakfast daily to pick up in the morning and enjoy this on the porch, where you enjoy the fantastic views over Grand Case, the ocean, and Hope Estate.
Grand Case Beach is just a tiny walk down, and to explore the many unique restaurants in the culinary capital, L’esplanade organizes a complimentary shuttle up and down to the Grand Case Boulevard; Manix was awesome!

So overall, if you enjoy a relaxing stay with lots of fine dining, fabulous beaches, and a couple of nightlife locations during weekends, this is your perfect getaway. And for the price you pay, this resort offers the best price/quality ratio of all those we have visited so far. My top 3 would be L’esplanade, La Samanna, and Holland House. But for the price, this is the absolute Best Buy. We loved it ☀️😎

I visited L’Esplanade Hotel a couple years ago. The pool, flowered grounds, accommodations and friendly staff always make it a memorable and pleasurable trip. Will hopefully be able to continue to visit within this coming season if they are open again :)

The location is simply fantastic and am soo happy they are opening again! The hotel is managed in an extremely professional way. There plenty of great restaurants within a 5-minute walk distance. Highly recommend this hotel!

The location and setting are awesome. The room was very good, comfortable, clean, great shower, modern furnishings. Have everything you need for a relaxing vacation. We stayed back in 2019 and will come back soon, can't wait for you to open again!

This place is extraordinary, such a charming place. And the staff is great, they were extremely helpful all around. Also we loved the App and Island guide from we are sxm. The Hotel Lesplanade and the Island is worth another visit!
