Sea Trek St. Maarten | Helmet Diving Adventure
Best Underwater Activity 2026 – We Are SXM, Tourist Info Center
“Discover St. Maarten’s underwater world with a Sea Trek helmet that keeps you breathing easily. A unique ocean walk that’s safe, calm, and ideal for beginners.”
Sea Trek St. Maarten offers one of the most unique underwater experiences in the Caribbean, inviting guests to walk along the ocean floor while breathing naturally through a comfortable, air-supplied helmet. Your adventure begins at Bobby’s Marina in Philipsburg, where you board a scenic boat ride toward the calm, sheltered waters of Little Bay. On arrival at the floating platform, the friendly crew explains how everything works and guides you through a simple safety briefing.
The Sea Trek system is designed so that anyone—first-timers, families, or guests who aren’t comfortable snorkeling or diving—can enjoy the marine world without stress.
Once prepared, you descend a sturdy ladder about 20 feet to the seabed, following a guided underwater path with handrails for extra comfort.

Beneath the surface, colorful fish, gentle currents, and the soothing quiet of Little Bay create a mesmerizing environment that’s both peaceful and exciting, offering unforgettable photo opportunities and a new way to explore St. Maarten. Beyond the thrill of walking on the ocean floor, Sea Trek adds extra value by pairing the experience with a 30-minute guided snorkeling session, allowing you to explore Little Bay from both above and below the surface.
The tour is organized into two rotating groups—one snorkeling while the other completes the helmet dive—ensuring everyone enjoys an unhurried, immersive adventure. Because your head stays dry and breathing feels natural, Sea Trek is ideal for guests who prefer comfort over technical gear or who are new to underwater activities.
Children aged eight and older can join, making it an outstanding family excursion.
While couples and groups appreciate the smooth flow, friendly guides, and easy access from Philipsburg. The underwater trail reveals tropical marine life, remnants of historic structures, and the gentle magic of a submerged world.
