Dino & Brenda are true islanders, which means growing up in a home where food is always the center point of every gathering. Having a nice buffet is always a great way to bring friends & family together.
In 2013, they decided to create more awareness of this island tradition and open a 4×4 Rib Shack on Kim Sha Beach.
Dino, an airplane pilot at WinAir, always loves to get back to their shack for his home-cooked meals, so they named the Rib Shack after him.
Over the years, “The Captain’s Rib Shack” became one of the locals’ favorites and a genuine tourist attraction. Go check it out for yourself!
The restaurant is open-air and has a large shaded seating area. Sit around the colorful red picnic tables while the smell of BBQ lures you to order the entire menu.
When visiting, most certainly try their famous “Orgasmic Ribs”; other favorites are the whole Red Snapper and the Lobster special.
Each dish comes with a side of choice, but if we had to choose, we would go for the bami (spicy noodles), homemade mac & cheese, and certainly indulge in the Johnny Cakes!
Pair your food with the Captain’s guava berry twist, their signature cocktail made with local guava berry rum, ginger beer, and fresh lime juice.
Opening Times & Specials with Live Music:
The Captain’s Rib Shack is open from 9 am to 11 pm from Monday to Thursday and until midnight in the weekends.
Thursday, there is the “All you can eat Ribs” including one side dish and a Coors Light beer for only $21. Meanwhile, the Unique Band creates a fun and engaging show with various music genres.
