Owner Laurence has been connected to St. Maarten since 2009 and made it her permanent home in 2012. After years in marketing for local businesses, her passion for fashion—originally studied in design school—never faded. She launched a fashion magazine that was tragically cut short by Hurricane Irma.
While working at The Morgan Resort, Laurence spotted a significant gap in Maho: there wasn’t a boutique offering both trendy beachwear and thoughtful souvenirs.
Inspired by her love for style and the island, she created Beach Me Up in 2025—a breezy, welcoming shop infused with the serene colors of Greece and Indonesia. Every item is carefully chosen to reflect comfort, elegance, and the relaxed energy of SXM.
At Beach Me Up, you’ll find anything you need under the sun: resort wear, handmade pouches, swimwear, SXM-branded tees, local skincare, island-style beach accessories, and other unique souvenirs — all carefully selected to reflect the island’s vibrant personality.
Everything in the store is priced between $20 and $175, making it easy to find a stylish gift or something for yourself. The boutique proudly features brands like The Official We Are SXM Friendly Island T-shirt™, One SXM Island, Sieben, Aroma Island, SXM Sunny Cords, Surf Gypsy, Blanco, Gold & Silver Paris, and St. Maarten Nectar.
Laurence personally handpicks the collection during sourcing trips to Brazil, Bali, Vietnam, Miami, and India, ensuring a diverse and exclusive selection. Located steps away from the iconic Maho Beach, and with plenty of parking available, it’s the perfect stop before or after plane-spotting.
