Below we (We Are SXM) collected all Weekly, Monthly and Yearly returning events including the artists, the music genres they play, the time, and the location. Click on each link to read more about the location. From Electronic to R&B, Hip Hop, and Reggae to Caribbean steelpan, Soca, Zouk, and Latin, we have it all in St. Maarten – St. Martin. Enjoy the unique diversity in Live Music we have to offer here in SXM. There’s probably no destination in the world offering such a variety.
Monthly Events in SXM – Note these down!
- The famous Treehab pool part,is every last Saturday of the month at Loterie Farm. Here you can party all day long on house music, afro-beats, and R&B. This event always brings a super nice mixed crowd with tourists and locals from the Dutch and French sides together.
- Rock night with The Real Deal every 1st Sunday, an Acoustic night every 3rd Sunday from 6 – 9 pm at Rembrandt Café in Madame Estate
Yearly returning local events in Sint Maarten & Saint Martin:

Carnaval Saint Martin:
Every year from the second week of February the French side celebrates Carnival, with music, feathered costumes full of color and local delicacies. The French side Carnaval has parades in Marigot but is a lot more intimate and smaller as the Dutch side counterpart.

Arrowroot Jollyfication Festival:
Experience the St. Martin culture and Dig in! In the village of Colombier you get to hand-harvest arrowroot in this yearly two-day festival which does not only remind us the nutritional benefits of the herb but also its cultural significance.

Grand Case Tuesdays:
from February to April, between 6 pm to 10 pm the streets of Grand Case are blocked for the largest local craft market. You get to enjoy local music, unique hand-made souvenirs and experience lots of Caribbean culture foods.

The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta:
In the first week of March the largest Sailing Regatta of the Caribbean is held right here in Sint Maarten. With Sailors from across the globe making their way here for this sailing race in which several classes battle each other to be the fastest boat. Next to this, visitors enjoy the Heineken Regatta Village, with great food, drinks, and both local and International artists playing music.

SXM Music Festival:
Directly after the Heineken Regatta in the 2nd or 3rd week of March starts the largest electronic festival in the North Eastern Caribbean. Where in the world can you listed to International DJs playing music while having your feet in the sand. A MUST if you are into electronic music!

Sint Maarten Carnival:
The biggest and best Carnival in the North Eastern Caribbean with the first Jump-Ups starting half-way March and the closing event in the first week of May you can party 6 weeks straight. That said all the major events such as the official opening, large concerts and the Grand Parade are held between April 18th and May 5th. During this period there are several concerts inviting big international artists at the Carnival Village where you can enjoy nights such as Soca, Latin, Bacchanal, Afro and Reggae music.

Oualichi Festival:
half way July this 4 day festival offers makes our island the perfect place to enjoy the culture of Caribbean music! With International artists playing Soca, Dancehall, R&B, Hip Hop, Dance, and Zouk music.

I love my island RAM:
A family day on the first Sunday of July where the Colombier heritage is highlighted with culinary dishes, local products, and a contest for the Island’s most beautiful RAM. Yes, yes you read that right. The most beautiful goat! It is definitely an unusual event that seems to attract more people every year. I mean who wouldn’t want to see this? Can you picture it, we know we can.

Festival de la Gastronomie de Saint Martin:
If you are a foodie, this is YOUR festival always held halfway November! As the name says this event is solely about food and drinks. From local BBQ to fine dining, restaurants are challenged to surprise. With competitions amongst private chefs, fine dining destinations, local shacks and mixologists you get to experience the best of each category.
