What is the Booking procedure?

You either book via the online booking calendar (if available) and pay everything in advance, or you request the dates; if available, fill in a credit card authorization form, and 20% will be charged on the spot, and the remaining 80% a week in advance. If booked within a week before the charter day, 100% will be charged.

What is a Damage waiver?

All boats are insured, and most charters come with captains, so your risk for damage to the ship is minimal. A damage waiver is for you to defend and hold harmless and indemnify the releases from any and all liability for any property or personal injury.
With a bareboat rental, you sign a damage waiver, in which you agree that the deductible for the boat is for your bill as companies always have a part not covered by their insurance.

Is gratuity included?

Generally speaking, NO. Unless specified otherwise the gratuity is not included. A standard tip for the crew is 10% of the charter fee.

What tip or gratuity is usual for a boat charter?

As it’s about a far larger amount a tip of 10% is sufficient. And 15 up to 20% if the service was exceptional.

What is the power boat or yacht charter rate for half a day?

Prices vary per boat between $900 and $6000 for half a day; some boats only do full-day charters as the time to prepare is very similar.

Are we currently doing fishing charters?

Yes, there are several fishing charter options available. Some fish can only be caught at certain times of the year. Usually, after booking, you can link with the captain directly, who will inform you about the best options.

What is the cancellation policy when booking a Boat Charter?

• 1 Week before = FULL REFUND
• 72h before = 50% REFUND
• 48h before = 30% REFUND
• 24h before = NO REFUND

Do Power Boats or yachts have insurance?

Yes, most are insured for a specific rate. Note there’s always a deductible.

What is the difference between a yacht and a ship?

Yachts are large, fancy boats used for recreation. They might do crossings but could as well stay docked in one area alone. Ships are usually larger, used commercially or by the navy, and meant to operate worldwide and cross the ocean.

What is the difference between a Powerboat & yacht?

The maritime definition of a “yacht” is a private vessel built for recreational use of at least 33 feet long. We tend to consider anything in the 35-40-foot range (or larger) constructed to allow the ability to cruise farther over deeper, rougher waters a yacht. Anything below 35 feet or without a regular-sized dining room, cabin, and restroom is considered a powerboat.

How can you book a Powerboat or yacht?

Some you can book directly online via the booking engine; for others, you email us your preferred date(s), and we will check availability. Afterward, you must fill out a CC authorization form before the booking is confirmed. We advise booking a minimum of 2 weeks before your trip.

How much does a Powerboat cost?

From $900 for a half-day to $2500 for a full-day charter. The price depends on boat type and size.

In Sint Maarten, powerboats are mainly available for day charters. Powerboats have only one cabin (if they do) and are chartered, including a captain, so for an overnight stay, the only option is a yacht.

A powerboat charter comes with the boat and a captain that’s also helping with everything else during the stops, such as handing out drinks, snorkeling gear, and so forth.
